The Foley Police Department made four arrests following a four-month long narcotics investigation. Authorities say three are convicted felons and will likely face Federal charges for Possession of Firearms and Ammunition. This is part of our continued efforts in keeping crime out of the City of Foley and maintaining our safety and quality of life.

Authorities say the raids took place at two homes: one on Respite Lane and another on Amazon Place starting early Friday morning. Surveillance video near the Amazon Place home recorded sounds of police ordering people inside to come out with their hands up. Foley Police say three people were arrested at the home on Amazon Place, one arrested on Respite Lane.

Public File Liaison:.Hancock County narcotics agents on Wednesday made a major drug bust at a home on Standard Dedeaux Road, arresting four adults and referring two small children to Child Protective Services.

Jeremy Skinner, commander of the Hancock Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division, said in a press release Wednesday that, "following a lengthy investigation, agents with the Hancock County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division, assisted by the Hancock County Special Response Team, executed an operation to apprehend three people wanted on felony arrest warrants and to execute a search warrant at Standard-Dedeaux Road. Agents apprehended one of the three wanted fugitives and also recovered multiple quantities of methamphetamine, large quantities of marijuana, amphetamine pills, and numerous items of drug usage paraphernalia, along with items used for processing and distributing narcotics for sale.

Two small children were present and removed from the residence by a relative. A referral will be made to Mississippi Child Protective Services regarding the presence of the children. Agents arrested Curtis Wayne Murray, 59, Skinner said. Murray was also charged with 14 felony counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, one felony count of Possession of Amphetamines, and one misdemeanor count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Skinner said.

The additional charges included two counts of trafficking in opioids, six counts of possessing firearms, two counts of possessing controlled substances, two counts of possessing or manufacturing or intending to sell controlled substances, trafficking in methamphetamine, leasing a home for purposes of trafficking in drugs, and possessing drug paraphernalia.

The amount of confiscated drugs was greater than the previous Citrus County record in when law enforcement officials found just over one pound of methamphetamine.
